The number of banks currently operating in Capital Yerevan goes beyond ten. With some of them having been functioning for long years now and the rest being comparatively new the overall banking system of Yerevan is rather advanced. While the banks come mostly with different missions, directions and goals, on the whole, they offer the same general services among which are corporate banking, retail banking, investment banking, money transfers, loans, implementation of communal payments, cards and bank guarantee.
As to ATM machines, they can be found at almost every step, since all banks have their ATMs spread around the city. ATMs in Yerevan function in accordance with the Plus Global Access Network, Visa, and MasterCard systems. This said, it should, however, noted that keepng some cash will do no harm, so consider that.
