Itinerary

Day 1Arrival

Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner at traditional Armenian restaurant with folk program (Armenian national songs and dances). Evening walk from the Northern Avenue to Republic Square. Participation in Dancing fountains show. Overnight: Yerevan.

Day 2Yerevan city tour - master class in Megeryan Carpet

Breakfast at the hotel. Yerevan sightseeing including Republic Square, Opera House, State University, Parliament House, President’s Palace and Cascade complex, Ararat brandy factory with degustation of best Armenian brandy. Visit to Megeryan Carpet factory, where you can experience the magnificent beauty of traditional Armenian carpets. Master class in Megeryan Carpet. Overnight: Yerevan.

Day 3Yerevan - Etchmiadzin - St. Hripsime -St. Gayane - Zvartnots Cathedral- master class in Hay Miasnutyan Khach

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Etchmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative headquarter of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Visit Etchmiadzin Mother Cathedral (302-303 AD), the seat of the Catholicos. Visit St. Gayane and St. Hripsime Churches (7th c.). Master-class of traditional Armenian gata, shaqar choraki. Lunch. On the way to back to Yerevan stop over for Zvartnots temple, 7th century architectural masterpiece, listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Overnight: Yerevan.

Day 4Yerevan - Geghard- Garni- master class of making lavash

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour to the only preserved pagan temple Garni. Tour to Geghard medieval monastery: a fantastic example of medieval Armenian architecture of XIII century. It is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Participation in lavash (Armenian bread) baking. Lunch in Garni. Return to Yerevan. Overnight: Yerevan.

Day 5Yerevan-Sevan -Dilijan- Haghpat

Breakfast in the hotel. A tour to a blue-eyed Sevan lake, which is one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia. Then departure to a magnificent region which is sometimes called ” little Switzerland”. We will visit Dilijan. Next stop will be at monastery complex Haghpat which was a religious, cultural and educational center in the X-XIII centuries and is included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Dinner in Haghpat. Participation in master class of making traditional Armenian khashlama with white wine sauce. Overnight: Haghpat

Day 6Haghpat-Sanahin- Amberd-Byurakan - Yerevan

Breakfast in the Hotel. The first stop will be at Sanahin is an Armenian monastery founded in the 10th century in the Lori Province of Armenia. It is one of the best examples of medieval Armenian architecture and is also included in the List of UNESCO World Heritge Sites. Then we will move to the south, where on the slopes of mount Aragats is situated a 7th century fortress. In Burakan you can take part in master class of home-made Armenian cheese and soup with aveluk. Return to Yerevan. Overnight: Yerevan.

Day 7Departure

Breakfast in the hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport.
